About a year ago I started listening to some online radio stations, some I found to be not as good as others. One in particular that has been around since 1997 is XFM is actually a favourite of mine and one that if you spend a large amount of time on the internet and love music, then this is one you really should check out.
Over the last few years online radio has started becoming more and more popular, with professional radio stations going online, along with amatuers who can purchase a liscence to start their own radio stations at a monthly or yearly rate.
XFM has been going since 1997 serving alternative rock/indie to London, UK. It has now expanded onto the web. Not only can you listen to your favourite rock/indie acts, you can listen to podcasts, check out their blog and even enter in for some great competitions and keep up to date with all the top music news all from the comfort of your keyboard.
If you're a rock/indie fan like myself, then XFM is one online radio station worth checking out and adding to your bookmarks.
