Country Moosik
Since my time spent in the US over the summer, I have really got into some Country Music. I sort of always had a thing for some artists from that genre, Dixie Chicks being one, but the 3 month stint has me listening to a lot more mainstream artists, as well as not so mainstream.
The sad thing is, it's not that big here in the UK. It's begining to gain an audience and some country artists have come over to do gigs and been received well, but what I would like to see is more artists coming across the pond, one in particular would be Garth Brooks. I'm loving a lot of his stuff right now, thanks to friends and my brother who have given me some of his songs to listen too over the past few months.
A couple others I wouldn't mind seeing would be Keith Urban, Carrie Underwood, Kenny Chesney and Brooks & Dunn.
What other greats are there out there that people could recomend to me? I need some new songs, so if you stumble across this blog and happen to know any good country songs you wouldn't mind sharing with me, then let me know. I want to make up a bunch of compliation country music cd's and any reccomendations would be appreciated.
