Saddam Hussein Hanged

You have to wonder about certain religions and the human race in general when the death of a former political leader is cause for celebration, with cheering and guns being fired in the street after the hanging of Saddam Hussein.

Okay, granted, the guy was a prick but in all honesty he should have been shot like the dog he was when he was found in his little hidey hole. Anyone who feels the need to preach to me that it's all about justice and fair trials blah blah blah can go tell it to someone else as the entire proceedings from go to whoa was a circus act designed to appease those who actually gave a fuck and nothing to do with justice.

The fact that it's so glee-filled sickens me. "We heard his neck snap.", "He seemed very calm. He did not tremble", "He didn't show any remorse". They're going to show the hanging on television... Was this an execution or a red carpet E! Special?

While everyone is cheering the death of someone who pretty much kept himself to his own country, I ask these questions: does ANYONE remember Bin Laden? Or are we all happy with the death of the person who DIDN'T fly planes into American buildings and bomb small indonesian Islands full of tourists from allied countries? and my final question: If public hanging is the punishment for 25 years of remorseless cruelty, what do you get for 8 years of remorseless stupidity?
