Sigh

I'm supposed to be updating but I honestly can't think of fuck all that I feel ranty or curious about, but if I don't do something today then you're all going to be looking at a blank page the next time you surf on through, and apparently I can't have that.

I did have something that I was mildly interested in but I forgot what it was. It'll come to me, I'm sure.

I've decided I want to dabble in the ole 9-5 bizzo again. Or maybe something part time. I went to one of those centres where you can get your resume typed up etc and the girl I spoke to was to embarrassed to pass my resume over. After I told her my qualifications she felt a little intimidated and she was really nice. Gave me the ego boost I needed since I haven't worked in the real world for 5 years.

I received 4 call backs in the first day, though I only learned of three about 2 hours ago when my daughter checked her cell phone and there were numbers on there she didn't recognise.

I'll call on Monday.

It's funny really, there are a lot of places asking for more mature women rather than the younger ones and it's happening a lot. I don't remember there being such a high demand for women my age but then again, back when I applied for jobs, it wasn't a requirement I had so I probably didn't take notice.

I've never had trouble finding a job. I've only ever been out of work for a week when I wanted to slack off, but once I start actively looking, one to two weeks later I'm smiling nervously at new people while I'm shown the ropes on a new piece of office equipment.

This time will be a little different as it's been so long. I feel like technologically, the world has flown past me and I feel like a bit of a dinosaur that's come from the old school when the little things counted.

Judging by what I'm reading in job applications, it seems that that is still what employers are interested in, so I'm still in with a chance.

Ha! I've updated, and I'll keep you all informed of my success/failure.
