I Am Not Dumb
Today was the best day ever and it was for one very simple reason and that reason was....
The Blog Advance community.
Yeah yeah I know. Bear with me.
A few days ago I was talking about the BA Forum and how there's usergroups you can join and I was talking to Mandy in the Tagboard as she's the moderator for the Graphics group and she convinced me to join even though I know sweet fuck all about graphics.
I have had Photoshop 7 for quite some time now, opened it once and quickly closed it down again. I mean seriously have you seen all the toolbars etc in that program? I was so intimidated I couldn't even crop!
Anywho. Today, in the forum, one of the other graphics people in there, Chris (liking the plugs to your sites guys? heh heh heh) puts in a tutorial on how to make a picture both in colour and black and white.
It looked so freaken simple that I decided to give it a bash and this was the result:

I don't know who took the pic. I saw it floating around the net and I love this BEP so I took her.
I am so excited that I was actually able to do this because I couldn't before so thanks Blog Advance and thanks to Mandy and Chris for everything and giving me one more reason to drive people crazy in here with stuff I've learned.
You guys are neat.

I'm so pleased with this. I did another one for fun and I'm even more impressed with how it turned out.
I'm going to have all kinds of fun with this till the next tutorial pops up to further occupy my mind.

That turned out really nice! I'm afraid of Photoshop, too. Maybe I'll have to look for that tutorial, and see if I can figure it out!

Dr Fil: Nice to see you in here. I'm very pleased with how this turned out and maybe you could mess around with something like this with your button making, especially for links back to your site! I'll look for you again on the board. We've had some good conversations :D
Jen: Go to the Blog Advance forum and click on user groups and then view information for Graphics in the dropdown box and subscribe. There's even more tutorials in there now. They all popped up while I wasn't looking.
Mrs Lifecruiser: I've been told (and given links to) Fergie's alarming bladder control problems (I might have to put something about it on the forum to catch people up). Mr Lifecruiser would have to be pretty darn handy with a mop if he wanted this woman and I've seen that beautiful pic of you in a bikini so I don't think he'll be straying!
Courtney: Wasn't it the absolute BEST being able to do something different? I truly find all of that kind of thing intimidating and I've been making do with Microsoft Paint and Photo Editor for all my pics. It was nice to go into PS (cos we're cool and don't type photoshop anymore) and have something work first time. It made me feel quite good. As to other pics? Oh hell yeah. I don't think I have anything in my folder that has full colour anymore.

Odd, I just posted color & B&W mix photos on my site but not like her - they were just little ole me... I use a different program and love it to do all sorts of neat stuff like that... i've been working with it since the 90's... fun stuff. I'd be glad to help anyone who used my prog... but seems I'm the only one at BA with it... so can't help much LOL Good work, girl! SOrry I was not around to get a plug LMAO
