Blogging: The Dark Side
Suddenly my whole existence online is narrowed down to 30 second increments, random numbers tossed about on a banner and a burning curiosity to know how number dyslexic people know which number to click.
Yes, I am talking about BlogExplosion and seeing as I'm an active team member and moderator on Club Lint, it's part of my duties to read other people's blogs. I comment when I'm interested and I count down to 30 with my cursor at ready on the correct number so I can click as soon as it says I can GO for the boring shit, which is what I'm going to talk about right now.
I can now count up to 10 in 0.125's (80) and I also know that 0.375 goes into ten 26.666666. It pisses me off that 0.125 and 0.375 equal 0.5 and that 0.5 goes into ten 20 times so where do they get off with the .666666 recurring?
Errr... There is a LOT you can think of when you're waiting for that 30 second count down.
Pet peeves while blogwhoring are:
People who don't update regularly (which is why I am in here now. Nearly a week. eeeek!!!). I'm taking the time to look at your blog every one to two days. The least you can do is make it interesting for me. I'm not saying that you should be generating tripe to feed the masses. Us intelligent bloggers are capable of reading other posts and broaden our perception of you, but come on.... two weeks?
People who talk about the bowel movements of their cats and/or dogs. No one cares. Everyone who has a pet will tell you that their furry friend shits too. It's not really a viewpoint it's a bodily function. Get over your pet and find something interesting to talk about. Please.
The blogs advertising shit I'd never buy, even if I was high. Not only that, they're drop dead boring. It's like they know you can't click for 30 seconds so they make this tepid attempt at throwing a picture of their latest product out into cyber space knowing full well you have to stare at it and maybe subconsciously learn something about the product. Fuckers.
Last but not least, the blogs that take forever to load up because of big ass pictures: and I really am pissed at this peeve. I'm on broadband for gods sake and STILL it takes longer than 30 seconds? I'm on a mission people, if I can't see you in that 30 seconds, if you haven't piqued my interest, I'm outta there.
I'm positive there are other peeves, but I'm trying to type up this post during boring 30 second countdowns and I can hardly think.

how about ..
.. extreme right-wing blogs. y'know "Death to The French" kinda shit.
.. blogs crammed with those stupid blinkies and animations. "i need this honking great blinking thing to dectract from the fact that i write total shite."
not that my blog is the best either, y'know, but at least i don't give Ann Coulter a run for her money, or make people want to gouge their eyes out by posting animated gnomes buggering each other on a toadstool.

I was a bit amused by reading your comments re: blogs. Thanks for the grin. Now on to more serious matters.
See my blog Teknosis:
http://tekgnosis.typepad.com
It has a post that includes an e-mail from Dr. "Death" Cranford.
Also here was my latest post to my Terri's Justice Yahoo!Group
members:
The following was a challenge given out [Ed. note: which has now been slightly modified April 18, 2005] and also included below is a URL for our press release:
From your friendly neighborhood moderator/creator of terrisjustice. See below. We have been challenged and now I must issue my challenge to you.
Those in the pinnacles of authority [Jeb Bush and others] believe that we are going to melt away and give up seeking justice for Terri.
The famous motto of the Zapatistas is one response of ours in this regard: Ya Basta!
We will never surrender! We will never tire!
Challenge to you: go out and inform 10 other people what happened to Terri. Get them signed on terrisjustice. Ask them to do the same.
This is how the grassroots grows and is the only true means of getting a true geometrical progression realized.
If you are not for getting justice for Terri against those with blood on their hands do not join this list. If you are a spy or have mal-intents and you try to join or succeed in joining please leave the list or it may be that one day you will die a horrible death not at our hands but as a result of your disingenuous actions which resulted in karmic repercussions. This is a form of what is called felos-de-se (a senseless or purposeful act of self-murder).
NOTE:
A great deal of lee-way is necessary, given the scope of the work, and I am committed to freedom of expression. HOWEVER, it does sometimes become necessary to remind ourselves of our purpose and the basic rules of etiquette when communicating with others.
Flame wars and attacks on the character of others are not allowed on this list, and other members of the list not involved should not be subjected to emails containing such material - carry them on in private please if you must, or more adult behavior, don't indulge in them at all.
We will remind once in awhile if things get a little out of hand, and any continued offense will be dealt with by either a moderation of the posts of the offender(s) or, when all else fails, a complete ban on those posts, especially when several complaints have been received from offended list members.
We have never had to take action in some years of doing this, and we hope this will never be necessary. Thank you for your support, and may your experience on this list be as enjoyable as it is informative.

God I didn't even read all that.....
I think it's hilarious that I have to inform 10 other people about terri's injustice when I don't think it was an injustice at all.
