New York City

I was lucky enough to visit one of my favourite cities a few years ago, New York City for a long weekend with a friend and it has to be one of the best trips I have taken.

There is so much to do and see and while my time spent there was all none stop, I still didn't see all of the city or perhaps as much as I would have liked. Before I went I did check out websites to get the top places to see and top things to do as well as have friends telling me places to check out.

While there I got to see the Empire State Building, Central Park, Times Square and do the usual shopping in Macy's and Bloomingdales just to be able to get one of the bags with the name of the store on it for keeping. Another stop we did was the Metropolitan museum of art

I had such a great time and wish I could have stayed longer. I hope to visit the city again in the near future and next time I will be taking more information with me and getting more tips on the things to do in New York while there.

One site that I found useful was http://www.trustedtours.com. It lists prices of tour rides amongst other things, as well as tips on where to go and what to see. It's a great resource for city info on all the top city destinations.

You can sign up to their newsletter and get information about your trip sent direct to your email before you go and you can even use the site to check out of destinations for future trips, such as Las Vegas

Also make sure to check the online travel guides for more information.

Social Networking

I have never been one to get into the whole social networking sites that are around. I do have a Myspace account but I rarely actually logon to it now. I might check it out ever couple of weeks or if I get notification that I have a new message etc.

There are many of them out there now and I'm curious to know what ones people actually visit and find most popular?

The popular ones I would say are Facebook and Myspace, but what other ones are out there that people use?

I'm curious to know...

The Ultimate Tool for Valuing Web Businesses

A new Website Valuation Tool has been let loose on the internet. It is the first tool - built in collaboration with Sitepoint, the world's biggest marketplace for websites - that values sites based on what similar sites are achieving at auction and has a high accuracy level.

The tool provides a lot of useful detail, graphs, charts and predictions in its detailed Valuation Report. It's a brilliant valuation tool for buyers as they can quickly get a lot of useful information on a site and its likely worth. It's also great for sellers as it helps set a BIN price AND provides them some inside information on their own site that they were not aware of.

The tool and more information about it can be found at http://ebizvaluations.com/

Big Brother

Yes I know it's quite sad but I can't help it. I have been watching this years Big Brother.

They did a twist last night after the eviction where Rex's girlfriend was put into the house. This is his reaction...

Not so insane after all

It seems my future as a cyclist isn't in the works after all. The amount of money that I needed to get to be able to pay for the trip and hotel costs etc was too high for me and I just couldn't afford it. I am a little peeved by this because I really wanted to do it and I think it would have been a great thing to say that I had accomplished.

It can't be helped and maybe if another opportunity arises I will be able to do it then.
